Current projects that need financial assistance:

We are purchasing blankets for the next winter season, as they are cheaper while the weather is hot. Please help us keep the children warm at night. We need 98 blankets.

We have people knitting squares to make up into blankets as well. So if you like to knit we would love to hear from you.

We need more clothes (also purchased in bales) By the end of wet season food is very scarce so we need money to purchase enough food for these children to eat.

The bales of blankets cost $US160.00 in the hot weather (Late August - March) We need at least 3 bales of blankets to accommodate the childrens needs.

The bales of clothing cost $US150.00 and come in assorted children's shirts, or pants.

We need at least 4 of each shirts and pants. We also need girls skirts so we are trying to purchase 2 bales of skirts for the girls in various sizes.

HOUSE 4 KIDZ 4 HIM $300,000 AUD

Because of the isolation of Itumbi, the KIDz 4 Him directors have to make a monthly 6 hour trip into Lusaka to purchase food and construction supplies in order to keep the project going. Because things are not readily available in a one stop shop, it requires days to get these supplies. The trip usually takes a week to complete, which means that accommodation must be factored into the on going cost of running the project. The cost of fuel, and the accommodation add $500.00 to the trip so KIDz 4 Him has decided that a house in Lusaka would not only alleviate some of this expense but it would also provide us with a small income while we are on the project site.

The plan is to offer the house on a nightly rental to other isolated project operators, and farmers who also need to make short term regular trips to town, and the house will provide a safe place for volunteers and visitors to stay in town, without the added expense of finding accommodation in Lusaka. ??MAKING THIS A REALITY WILL SUPPORT KIDZ 4 HIM TO BECOME SELF SUSTAINABLE.
